Holy hours are the Roman Catholic devotional tradition of spending an hour in Eucharistic Adoration in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. At St. Mary by the Lake for the entirety of Lent, The Church will be open from 9:00am until 6:30pm on Thursdays, beginning February 18th, for individuals to come and spend some quiet time in prayer. Participants are invited to bring some sacred reading or devotional prayer to follow in this time of sacred silence. Evening Vespers will be observed at 6:00pm to close the Holy Hours each week. Stations of the Cross at St. Mary by the Lake
Stations of the Cross at St. Mary by the Lake Sunday Mornings 9:30am February 21 - March 28 Experience the way of the cross as you never have before. Rather than meditating about Christ’s journey to the cross, pray right along with him. Jesus, as an observant Jewish man, would have prayed the Psalms throughout the day, and drawn strength and peace from them. The Way of the Cross: Praying the Psalms with Jesus invites us to step closer to Christ and pray beside him, drawing strength from Scripture during those last moments before the crucifixion. Each station features:
